Ingersoll Rand wins 2014 Dream Company to Work For Award second time in a row in the Manufacturing Sector

Also Awarded as Organization with Most Innovative HR Practices and for Excellence in Training

Ingersoll Rand, a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable and efficient environments, was named as the ‘2014 Dream Company to Work For’ in the manufacturing sector at the Global HR Excellence Awards organized by the World HRD Congress 2014. For the second consecutive year, Ingersoll Rand retained the number 1 position within the manufacturing sector and also moved up one spot to number 3 in India across industries. The company also collected other top awards in categories of Excellence in Training and Organization with the Most Innovative HR Practices.

“We are delighted to be honored as the dream manufacturing company to work for, a second time in a row. One of the many things that make Ingersoll Rand stand out is its work culture that empowers its employees to inspire progress for customers, communities and themselves. We strongly believe that our employees are truly our biggest asset,” said Venkatesh Valluri, Chairman and President, Ingersoll Rand India.

“We have received phenomenal recognition once again this year for our initiatives and the culture we are building at Ingersoll Rand. These awards are testimony to the fact that we have been successful in building a robust and winning culture in the company,” said Jayantika Dave, Vice President, Human Resources, Ingersoll Rand India.

A stringent process was followed for selecting winners for each of these awards, and there were several Asian- and Middle East-based organizations that competed. A total of 96 countries were represented at the conference this year with the evaluation done by leading HR experts from IIM Ahmedabad, Economic Times and other leading industry practitioners. The executive jury shortlisted the top 15 companies which were recognized for the Dream Company award. This year there was a separate category award based on the industry the company operated in, and Ingersoll Rand in India was selected as No. 1 in the manufacturing industry.
