Volvo Penta senior vice president Peter Hertinge, 55, was born in Varberg, Sweden, and studied business administration, economics and marketing as the University of Goteburg.
He began his career at railway equipment manufacturer, Kalmar Verkstad, before moving to Volvo Trucks in 1997, initially as HR Manager and later as Plant Manager. In 2004, he became President and CEO of Volvo Group Australia, overseeing the integration of Mack Trucks into the division; he subsequently managed the Macks Trucks business in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
In 2010, Peter moved to his present role as Senior Vice President of Global Operations and Quality at Volvo Penta, and is a member of the executive management team. He has established an international platform for manufacturing and logistics, implemented new quality processes, and substantially improved delivery precision over and above 90 percent.
Peter is married with two children, and in his spare time enjoys playing the drums, reading, and playing golf.
