Atlas Copco Hurricane introduces new B4-41/900 booster with Tier 4i solution.
To provide our customers with a solution for the new EPA Non road Regulation Tier 4A emission standard, Atlas Copco introduces the newly designed B4-41/900 with a Cummins QSB4 engine.
Atlas Copco Hurricane has taken advantage of the regulations challenge to introduce the B4-41/900 booster model using the same proven design concept as the B7-41/1000 booster. Used primarily in drilling applications,
the B4-41/900 showcases several improvements that provide additional flexibility for the customer.
The B4-41/900 features a flat base frame, single point lifting and an optional bolt on protection frame. Its small footprint (97.5”L x 70”W x 67.25”H) with oversized forklift pockets in the base frame, allows for easy maneuverability.
A pre-cooler bypass system has been incorporated into the design for cold weather operation.
The success of the new B7-41 design concept and the new regulations were the ideal opportunity to also adapt the B4-41 to the new philosophy and extend our booster portfolio says Lawrence Van der Veeken, Product manager Boosters.
