The MXD range of Multi Drills offer many advantages to the contractor versus other cluster hammer systems available worldwide. The Multi Drill concept works on two basic principles;
(1) High Impact Energy while drilling hard rock
(2) High discharge / flushing capability while drilling hard rock
With a number of high energy RC hammers mounted in the Multi-Drill and the closed-loop RC system the Multi Drill optimizes both the operating and flushing air to maximize penetration and flushing.
The system operates very efficiently on both solid and uneven ground. Due to the unique air porting design when the drill bit in one hammer in the multi drill advances faster than the other bits the live operating air is sealed off to this hammer and diverted to the other hammers in the multi drill. This ensures a constant drilling pressure in the system and maximizes energy.
Because of the unique closed loop nature of the Multi Drill System the live operating air is never allowed to exhaust around the bit face. This unique feature eliminates the possibility of ground disturbance due to the destructive nature of live air. |

Concentric Under Reamers |

| The SXM range of Concentric Under Reamers offer the perfect solution for drilling and advancing casing simultaneously. The Under Reamer uses a Simple Push Operating System. The system consists of a center shaft, a guide body and a set of arms. When the center shaft is pushed forward into the drill position the arms are extended out beyond the casing into the ream position. The live air while drilling is directed perpendicular to the bit face to prevent excavating in loose formations. The unique system allows for modular components, where the Center Shaft can be replaced for different hammer shanks, and or the Guide Body replaced for Drive Shoe, or no Drive Shoe application. |
