NGWA’s 2010 Ground Water Expo and Annual Meeting racing toward record year

Ground Water Expo

The 2010 Ground Water Expo and Annual Meeting December 7-10 is racing toward a record year — poised to crack the target of 300-plus exhibitors with 10 weeks still to go, the National Ground Water Association reported today.

For NGWA to reach 283 exhibitors at this early stage bodes well, said NGWA Executive Director Kevin McCray, CAE.

“The reason why exhibitors come to the Expo is to meet customers. We interpret these robust numbers to mean exhibitors expect to see lots of groundwater professionals at the Expo. These companies have decided that exhibiting at Expo is an investment that will pay dividends, both in the short- and long-terms,” McCray said.

It also bodes well for attendees, who are guaranteed to see the latest groundwater industry equipment and technology on display, McCray said. Also, NGWA will be showcasing nearly a dozen new programs, products, and services from the Association itself, or its partners.

At present, 63,000 square feet of space has been sold to exhibitors, leaving only 8,500 square feet of available space. Of the 283 exhibitors coming to the Expo, more than 20 are first-time exhibitors. An up-to-date list of exhibitors and the Expo floor plan is available on NGWA’s Web site. The Expo show floor will be open a total of 12 hours over December 8-9.

In addition to the Expo show floor, more than 75 educational offerings will be available covering virtually all aspects of the groundwater industry. Increased emphasis on business management is being showcased for all the major industry professions and businesses.

NGWA, a nonprofit organization comprised of more than 13,000 U.S. and international groundwater professionals — contractors, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, scientists, and engineers — is dedicated to advancing groundwater knowledge. NGWA’s vision is to be the leading groundwater association that advocates the responsible development, management, and use of water.
