Pune, December 19, 2011: Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), a leading global fluid management company today launched Kirloskar Mobile Pump Controller, at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Shirwal near Pune. This innovative product was launched at the hands of Dr. P. G. Adsule, Director – National Research Centre for Grapes, Manjri, Pune and a renowned scientist in the field of agriculture, especially grapes. Also present for the launch was Mr. Jayant Sapre, Director - Kirloskar Brothers Limited along with Dr. Upadhyay and Dr. Tawre from NRC - Manjri and other senior employees and dealers of KBL.

Kirloskar Mobile Pump Controller is designed to assist a pump user to monitor and operate the pump remotely with the help of a mobile. The Mobile Pump Controller, available through the vast distribution network of KBL channel partners across the country, can be installed on different types of new and existing pumps. After the installation, the user can operate the pump from any mobile irrespective of the mobile service.

This product is another step by KBL towards water conservation and enriching the lives of people who face the problem of erratic power supply and tough terrains to access the pump location.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. P. G. Adsule, Director – National Research Centre for Grapes, Manjri, Pune emphasized, “Mobile Pump Controller launched by Kirloskars will help in conserving the precious resources like water and power. Mobile technology is fast penetrating in the rural markets. Using this technology to remotely program and control the pump-set will help the agriculture community to control the flow of water to the farms, thereby enhancing more area under irrigation and also the overall productivity.”

He also added that over the past 100 years KBL has been a pioneer in launching innovative and revolutionary products which were ahead of time. Mobile Pump Controller is one of them.

On this occasion, Mr. Ravindra Murthy, Business Head of Distribution and Customer Service & Support at KBL said, “This product will help the pump users monitor their pumps more effectively and ensure smooth running of the pumps to get water on demand”.
