Sandvik Mining and Construction at Hillhead 2010

Sandvik launch the latest development in mobile scalping at Hillhead 2010

Hillhead 2010

The QE440 has been developed to cater for the serious aggregate producer, and to this end boasts 40% more screening area than its predecessor - the market leading QE340. Importantly, the stockpiling conveyors are both wider, and higher, to deal with both the increased production capacity and facilitate larger stockpiles.
Punched plate, heavy duty mesh, rock fingers or grizzly bars can be fitted to the top deck while heavy duty mesh or fingers can be fitted to the bottom to match specific application and material requirements. The QE440 comes complete with a more powerful, yet economical engine to power this truly productive machine.
Applications include:

  • The screening of heavy overburden at a quarry face
  • Pre-screening and scalping
  • Recycling of construction and landfill waste
  • Separation of cohesive aggregates.

The QE440 comes complete with a more powerful, yet economical engine to power this truly productive machine, as well as mould breaking features found on the QE340. Some of the outstanding features of this latest addition to the Sandvik range of mobile screens include:

  • Class leading total scalping area of 18 x 6' / 16.5 x 6' (5.5 x 1.75m / 5 x 1.75m) allows for enormous rates of production
  • Capable of being fed by large crushers, yet precise enough to produce accurate aggregates, and tough enough to recycle mixed materials
  • Heavy duty crusher-type chassis
  • Global aftermarket support, with standard stock parts to ensure minimum loss of production
  • Machine designed for efficient fuel economy, and low operating costs.
  • Fully tracked for on-site mobility
  • Different applications catered for through Sandvik screening media
  • Capable of operating in the most hostile environments
  • Massive stockpiling capability through integrated hydraulic conveyors
  • Easily transported from site to site

The QE440 will receive its global launch at Hillhead 2010 where it will help form the centre pieces of the Sandvik Mining and Construction stand.
Sandvik Mining and Construction will be taking advantage of Hillhead 2010 to highlight their product range, with many old favourites being shown, and the unveiling of some exciting new developments.
The Sandvik product offering provides solutions for virtually any application, and encompasses such diverse businesses areas as surface rock quarrying, excavation, tunnelling, demolition, recycling and civil engineering.  The range of products developed to service these industries includes rock tools, drilling rigs, breakers, tunnelling equipment, crushing and screening machinery, bulk-materials handling systems -  in fact machinery to deal with virtually every possible requirement.
Hillhead 2010 is seen as the perfect opportunity for Sandvik to show, and vitally to demonstrate, members of their total solutions product range, at what has become the world's leading quarry and construction show piece.                                                The NEW QI440 tracked impact crusher
The NEW QA331 tracked screener with improved screening capacity
Other products being shown include:  the CV110 static crushing unit, a breaker tree, tracked drill rigs, the QA450 triple deck tracked screen, the UJ440 tracked jaw crusher, and the UK's leading mobile tracked crushers and screens - the QJ340 tracked jaw crusher, and the QE340 scalper.
The all encompassing nature of Sandvik's product offering now enables customers to process materials from the very beginning of its usable life to the very end - and beyond!  Dimensional stone can be drilled then quarried, tunnels excavated, rock extracted, then materials crushed and sized to produce the highest quality of aggregates. And when its life cycle is finished the Sandvik range of demolition and recycling equipment will allow for the same materials to be re-used and recycled starting the process again so that the circle of use is complete.
It's not only the Sandvik product range that will be highlighted to customers at Hillhead: Sandvik's recent Aftermarket developments will be given due emphasis, and present customers with opportunities to discuss their parts and service requirements at first hand.   Potential customers look for a reliable partner who can not only supply the equipment they need, but who also understand the construction environment, and possess a global presence that can provide a high standard of support regardless of location.
All Sandvik products have been developed working in conjunction with some of the world's leading quarrying and construction companies.  This ensures that Sandvik produces the right equipment, for the right application, all with the features that ensures customers benefit from the highest levels of productivity, but the lowest levels of cost of ownership and vitally, with minimal environmental impact.
