Mills Machine Company Claw Bits

Claw_Bits

In 1978, Mills Machine Company started manufacturing Claw Bits under an agreement with Kennametal Inc., the original patent owner of the Kenclaw Bit. Mills Machine improved the original design by offering a one-piece, heat-treated alloy steel body with special hard-faced blocks. This type of manufacturing allows the bit to be reworked many times over, extending the overall life of the bit. Mills Machine Company, established in 1908, offers the Milclaw, Kenclaw and the Geoclaw bit. Product applications include water well, geothermal, blasthole mining and construction. The bits are designed to cut a variety of unconsolidated formations ranging from clay to soft limestone. They feature field-replaceable carbide cutters and are manufactured from solid 4142 heat-treated steel, with a variety of thread connections available. Standard sizes range from 3⅞ to 30 inches in diameter. With more than 100 years of experience under the same family ownership, Mills Machine Company is a provider of earth drilling tools, bits and related accessories. www.MillsMachine.com
