Endress+Hauser to Demonstrate the World's First Replica Mobile Flotation Cell and Tailings Thickener

02 March 2010
At the Bauma 2010 exhibition, to be held in Munich on the 19-25 April 2010, Endress+Hauser will introduce the world's only replica of a mobile flotation cell and tailings thickener, called 'The Mine on Wheels'. The rig demonstrates different measurements in the flotation and thickening process such as level measurement, thickened sludge density, pH-monitoring, mass flow and dosing. Process visualisation and instrumentation are demonstrated over a P-View SCADA package.
In addition to the special measurements of wet processing, the industry-specific package includes a non-invasive ultrasonic measurement system called Prosonic S; a guided radar measuring instrument known as Levelflex M complete with abrasion-resistant cabling; and a free-space level radar, the Micropilot FMR250 (or for short distances the FMR244).
Also to be demonstrated at the show is a capacitance level sensor with cable and rod probe or Silocap S, which is used for higher temperatures, e.g. for hot aggregates in asphalt processes; the Coriolis Promass 83 I mass flowmeter with a single straight pipe; and pressure transmitters from the Cerabar M family e.g. for pump protection with flush, abrasion resistant ceramic cell for pressure measurement in pipelines carrying a lot of abrasive solids.
The industry package is further strengthened with several new product additions including the Solimotion T FTR20, a non-contact, microwave-based flow/no flow detector for bulk materials.

bauma features more than 500,000m² (5,382,131ft²) of exhibition space, making it by far the largest exhibition ever. This is where all of the market’s leading manufacturers and key players are represented. Take advantage of this unique leading position again in 2010 by visiting Endress+Hauser at hall C1, booth 526.
